I drive and ride a lot at night.  Stuff happens, and other motorists aren't paying as much attention as they should.
A few discrete reflective items may save your life.   Many of us take off the ugly OEM reflectors, and neglect to replace them.

It's common for riders to stop  on the side of highways for breaks, or in emergency, or breakdown situations.    Doing this at night can be hazardous.  Make sure your bike is visible, even without the bike running.

In a worse situation, the reflective stuff on you and your bike may help rescuers find you if you ran off the road, and into brush or woods!
  It happens!
