To most, if not all of us here, a 1st gear wheelie is much safer than 200mph on a public road... but to some, especially those in a position of authority, one's just as wreckless as the other.
Not saying that I've never wheelied, or wouldn't take pictures and post them if the opportunity presented itself. Just playing Devil's Advocate here.

. . . or a race track, for that matter.
