PLAINS TWP. – Police discovered a juvenile reported missing and a motorcycle reported stolen during a traffic stop Sunday on state Route 309.
State police in Wyoming said a 17-year-old boy from Grantville in Dauphin County was stopped by police for speeding near Exit 3 of the Cross-Valley Expressway shortly after midnight Sunday.
A check of the boy’s driver’s license revealed that the boy had been reported missing. A check of vehicle information showed that the 2003 Suzuki GSX-1300R gray motorcycle he was driving had been reported stolen from the Grantville area on June 9.
The boy was taken into custody and the motorcycle was towed to state police barracks in Wyoming.
The boy was later released into the custody of his mother. A charge of receiving stolen property and related charges are pending, police said.
