im sorta bored of the color and considered doing some type of two tone paintjob cause im too lazy to paint the frame too. my thoughts are painting all the body parts either satin black,gloss black, or gunmetal, which is the color of the wheels and engine/tranny.

I must admit by carefully using the monotone color against the little chrome that is there, the bike screams BAMF bike. Its amazing how the "old" B12 can achieve this, so easy to morph into a metallica brute. Can you imagine trying to achieve this look with the new?

Actually, yes I can.
In fact, the new B1250 engine, painted black, would match even better with the blocky, industrial look of that bike. The fins add too much clutter to an otherwise super-clean, minimalist concept.
I do agree that it's a tough bike... nice!

I now see better the direction JK1 is taking his B12. Amazing but not surprising that a cut B12 with its workable sub-frame wonderful finned engine, small cooler and carb pods bring so much character in the bike. Makes me feel good I own one knowing its possible for me to achieve this kind of look.

Obviously, there's more than just black involved in that look. You'd need to "minimize" the bike like it's been done there. As long as you're willing to chop the bike up, than you can do something along those lines.
Unless you're truly confident about going about it, I DON'T suggest painting the bike yourself. It might come out looking like some backwoods garage project instead of the "dream machine" you're basing it on.

I would only attempt cutting and welding if I had precise tried and true instructions on the cut angles and welding approach. It would probubly give me a reason to invest in a wire feed welder as a stick welder would probubly be more difficult to use. The painting is much easier for me as I took a college course in auto body in order to repair, paint and sell 3 cars I owned as a class project for the price of tuition ($80). I also have a compressor and sprayer. I would however go with the monotone idea using only chrome areas to contrast the look. I can imagine all sort of solid color schemes even red. D-Angels red B12 for sale would be a great start toward a color matched project like this and would minimize the amount of painting needed.

That black one is really hot but I think you bike looks pretty bad-ass as it sits! :bigok: I love that 1G silver color.

does anyone know the history of that bike? Who built it, where it's at, what parts are in it?
I noticed the forks, swing-arm, brakes, lights, belly pan........monochrome paint. Of all the stripped Bandits this one takes the cake.
I noticed that the "Biker Build-Off" show was going to have a few episodes with performance and import bikes soon. I saw a chopper dragbike thing a couple of weeks ago. A Bandit build-off would be awesome. I guess the problem would be the "judging." Perhaps they could go to a Superbike race or Urban Biker Boyz venue?

Could you imagine if Suzuki had the vision to come out with something like this stock as a separate line for a reasonable price. The big 4 have made the cruiser in every possible bad boy configuration, its time one of them see the dollar signs and develop a bad boy sport bike look like this.

im considering taking the bike apart while its 10 degrees and snowy right now. getting the frame powercoated satin black and having my painter spray all the bodyparts. the biggest thing thats bugging me is trying to find an exhaust setup like the one pictured. i want something under the bike hidden with a chin spoiler. im also gonna get a busa rear shock and a set of tl1000r inverted forks or gsxr 1k/600 forks. and i really want to do something with the rear seat but im gonna stick with the stock setup, i dont have the money for that right now. for the people who want pics of that nasty streetfighter theres only that one pic i found on bikepics.com.
anyway i have a few ideas for exhaust, but if someone can direct me with a few more it would be appreciated. :thanks:

An exhaust like that is a custom made job. Talk to some muffler shops about bending you up something like that.
Check out Zorstec (http://www.zorstec.com/zorst_of_the_month.htm) for some other unique ideas.

Have you looked at JK1's posting? It mostly looks like he just cut then plugged the rear seat frame which looks very similar to this bike above. You should ask him how difficult it is as it might be fairly strait forward. I would be tempted to do it but I have so many other projects that are waiting to be done, I know I have to be real and stick to stock for a while yet.
