Snatch theft suspect ashamed to meet kin
PETALING JAYA, SELANGOR, Sun.

A snatch theft suspect, whose accomplice was killed while trying to escape with a woman’s handbag in Kelana Jaya yesterday, was today too ashamed to meet his family.
He told police this when they took him to his house in Sungai Delek, Klang, to search his room.
The suspect refused to alight from the police van, saying he was embarrassed to meet his family, especially his mother.
The mother was visibly upset to see her son in handcuffs. She asked him what he had done and reminded him that Hari Raya was just around the corner.
The suspect first kept silent but after much persuasion answered: Ragut (snatch).
The 20-year-old, who tested positive for narcotics, was riding the motorcycle that was registered to his accomplice, Mohd Khazrin Kamarulzaman, whose body was released to his family yesterday.
Khazrin, 24, was killed when their motorcycle crashed into the road barrier while being chased by the snatch victim in her car.
