I think the sv 650 will be around a while from what i read in the september issue of cycle world magazine they list it along with the new gsx 650 f (which as stated before is a dressed up bandit) as being great bikes for begginers/gas savers and that sales of both in north american market are strong.  As for the bandit ... i don't know. that may be going away??

I don't think the Bandit will go the way of SUVs anytime soon. They aren't as great on gas as other bikes, but it's still better than any cage that we own.

Local shop has been sold out of the little 250 Ninjas and all the ones she has on order for her shop are taken. Smaller cc sized bike sales are going to keep climbing as long gas stays the way it is. More and more people are realizing they can commute with a small bike or scooter to work instead of taking their car.
The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.
