Gear up, gear down, depends on what is more important to you.  Higher gear so that when you are screaming across the Mojave Desert at 100 mph, your rpm is not over the down slope of the power/torque curve.  Lower gear if every traffic light is a mini drag race.  Like to have both but can only pick one.

Hey... maybe I'm talking apples & oranges here...

Does the 2nd Gen B12 have FIVE speeds or SIX ? (oops! my ignorance is showing)

If you 2nd Gen folks have six, then my suggestions were probably out the window for you.

My five-speeder really needed that Sixth Gear Experience, so I geared UP. Love that "extra cog" at 70 mph.

Black '98 B12S, JE 1216cc bore kit, port work, Yosh RS3, Ivan jetting, drag bars, modified Corbin Gunfighter, Hyperpro shock, Racetech Gold valve kit, stainless lines, Wave rotors, polished wheels, fender eliminator, bar-end mirrors, NEP throttle lock, Adaptiv TPX radar detector...140K miles

I ordered the 530vm with AFAM front 15t and rear 47t. Lets see how that turns out. Always had 15/45 on mine so Im curious to see how she runs. I ordered the 120links. There was no mention of it coming with the connecting link and I cant remember if my previous ZVM2 came with one 3 years ago.

My ZVM came with a master link.

BTW...  post up your thoughts with the new gearing when you get a chance.

Been running that combo for years now and love it.  Just remember to add two links to the stock length.
