Do you guys think its worth getting some of these led tyre cap lights for riding at night to make the bike more visible?

I think they look goofy and will not offer much better visibility and they only light up when moving so a car might notice them right before they hit you. Just my two cents

In some states in Oz they can be deemed illegal.

I had em for a little while, but took them off after the batteries died... which wasn't very long (about 4-6 weeks, maybe). I didn't get hit while they were on there, but then I haven't been hit since then either. They are kinda heavy and will alter wheel balance some, though I didn't re-balance for them and never noticed any balance issues. Looking back, they're gimmicky and I wouldn't bother again.
IMHO, your money is better spent on gas for another ride! :bandit:

i got some of these on a used madura i bought if you know what a madura looks like you'll know why i laughed all the way home (but noone could hear me it had also been straight piped) and then took them off right away. I honestly don't think they would do much for your visibility, i agree with red they are gimmicky. Lots of other visibility tricks might work better.

Like reflective rim tape... and with that, you don't have to worry about battery life. :trustme:
