New Bandit...again
« on: October 06, 2005, 02:57:30 AM »
Well I couldn't stay away, I picked up my third Bandit 1200 last weekend. I've had one 1st-gen, and this makes my second 2nd-gen. Damn I love these bikes!

I haven't paid much attention to Bandits since I sold my last B12 in 2002. From reading all the mods and such you guys have devised/discovered since then, I have a lot of catching up to do!

I mostly hang out at Max-Suzuki (coinspinner) but this board is an awesome resource as well. Bandits are simply terrific bikes at a terrific price, I like that.

What, we don't classify as Riff-raff? And I've worked so hard for it too! :monkeymoon:

Welcome back and congrats on the purchase!  :congrats:

Sure we do, it's just not nice to cross contaminate our Riffs with their Raffs... and vice-versa  :bigok:

I totally agree with that... I like mine more and more each time I ride.  It really feels like it's just now getting broke in good - turned 10,000 miles this week 7 months to the day of purchase!!!   :bigok:  :bigok:

BTW....  Let me add another   :welcome:   to ya!!!

That's the thing, when I felt like it was time to do some more street riding (I've been focused on road racing the past 3 years since selling my last B12), I really didn't have any specific bike in mind.

I wanted something fun, sport-tourey, strong midrange, and most importantly--inexpensive! I haunted all the local classifieds checking out hundreds of bikes. Over and over again, it was obvious the best bike in my price range ($3500 max) that fit my needs was a used Bandit 1200.

It was inevitable I guess.
