I used to think it was a bit of sand on a turn where there was nothing the day before....or grannies driving and knitting at the same time...now...
I ride a lot in the country and big dogs are, it seems, always on the loose...and none of them like the sounds of my four cylinders zinging through the gears. I get to the end of a blind driveway and an 80 lb. german shepherd suddenly makes an appearance in front of me! If I hit that sucker, neither of us will be eating out of a dog bowl that evening!
What is your bike's worse nightmare?

I suppose the biggest enemies depend on where I'm riding....
Around town it's dickheads in cages - I don't discriminate when I'm on the bike - I treat ALL cage drivers with contempt...
Out on the highway - same thing - just a whole lot faster
On back roads - same thing again but less room than on the highway, then add in Kangaroos, Wombats, Koalas, echidnas, sheep, cattle etc etc...
I suppose when I think about it, other than other motorcyclists, I have NO FRIENDS - just things that are going to try their best to kill me...

I think my biggest enemies are tailgaters and too close lane changers. I could be wrong, though. I just believe that's it.
-
Drifting cell phone drivers and drivers who weave from lane to lane without looking and without signalling.
