We all know that one of the nice things about Bandits is/was the price for a new bike. I know that Rickey in Phoenix got his '01 for around the $6200 range and I got my '03 for $6450 out the door. I am just wondering if I got a great deal or if that is the average if you shop around and hit it right. Of course too, mine and Rickey's are naked versions, so I know that will affect the price too.

$5795 for a naked 2003, late in the model year.
-
Hmm...
Well, I paid $600 for mine, but it was used
All said and told, though, after this latest bout of 'nessary upgrades' I'll probally have closer to $2500 in her.

I paid $12999 (Australian) plus on road for my 02 B12. They are now 11,999 and some dealers are doing that with on road costs....

Being a cheap ass, none of the poll numbers go down far enough.
A tad under 3 gorilla's as a wreck, an other gorilla, to fix it all up and get her all legally regoed. And its still the best, fun bike I have ever owned.

$4,000 plus a really crappy Goldwing for a 2002 B12 in 2003. I bought it from my local crotch rocket dealer. No one else wanted it and the store owner was a friend of a friend.
-
I paied $2300 for my 1996 600S in June. 17000 miiles.
-
$6499 out the door for my B12 'K' brand new in June 2001. Price was $6999 IIRC and I was himing and hawing.. But then they had some sort of 'summer deal' and knocked $500 off. That did it for me, I went in, pointed and said "One please!" That was one helluva feeling..

Yea Red !! The red ones are setup with more horeses from the factory. Did I mention my Bandit is also Red

Back in mid April I paid $3995 for a 2000 1200S from a dealer, 7560 miles(just had 7500 mile service done), Corbin seat and carbon fiber D & D muffler. Then 2 days later I wreck it, bend the frame as it went under a guard rail and broke most of the body parts. Bought a parts bike off eBay(minus engine, forks and tires/wheels and swapped pretty much everything) and now is back on the road. Now have about an extra $1500 in her and stuck currently with the factory seat and can until I can save up to repair the Corbin and replace the "quiet" can.

Sweet! I always wondered what was up when I rolled right past those black and blue B12's.. You just answered it!

I didn't pay anything! My wife bought it for me for Christmas. Of course she paid list price! She bought it from someone she went to high school with, some friend!. I didn't have the heart to tell her he raked her over the coals ( a 2000 in Dec of 2000). I just smiled and said thank you dear.

I paid $5000 even with WA taxes included for an '02 Bandit just 2 months ago....It included the dealer installing my Zero Gravity wind screen / Micron exhaust sytem / jetting / heated grips. Not a great buy but just about where it should be in the used market range. I could not have gotten more value for the money (in my tiny little mind anyway!). I looked to BMW's 1100, but I didn't want the extra greenbacks to leave home, and I'm not ready for that much of an upright riding position...yet. Initially, I bought the B12 just to "get me by" but I reaalllly reeaaallly like it....it's a keeper.

I gave my dealer my 03 bmw 1150RT with 40K miles on it, he gave me a 2005 Bandit, no money changed hands. He got a good deal, but I got out of bmw maintenance costs and got a fresh bike, plus......I really missed the 2001 Naked bandit I traded off before. Got my bandit back now. Best all round bike made in my opinion. From 0 - 8000rpm it whollops my kaw ZX-9R, from there on up of course the cow eats the bandits lunch. But for most street riding, the bandit is the better bike. And its comfy too. I like getting between 70 - 90mph in top gear and just roll on and off the throttle. The bandit is perfectly tuned for the street, at least for me. Don't get me wrong, the bmw was a fantastic bike too, and just as good as the bandit in the curves, but if you need any dealer servicing, you might as well hand the shop guy the keys to your house!

Its odd, when I did the poll, I didn't even think about used bikes. I bought mine new and that is what was going thru my mind at the time. :duh:

the local Zuki Yama Hondu stealer, i,m just looking when a nice older gent wanting a Geezer Glide to take home that day, couldn't believe how much less they were going to give him for his bike he had for less than a year. We struck a deal! me the sales guy and the gent. I'm just looking for trans to my dirty grity job! i just ruined my new truck's glass just parked there. So $4500.00 tx title tag out the door that day7/99,For my 98 B12s 2700mi also had eng guards(not the ones on it now),gel seat, and one of those big windwing things?? with the big black rack & baskets. WHICH I SOLD ON EBAY FOR $300.00 BUCKS!! I almost felt guilty on that one! They got a deal i find out!! Just looking for trans! Now i have to tell her, i was only looking at that busa she means nothing to me!!! 35k on her now. Even in the worse conditions still going strong. I saw a forum on how you clean your bike! Compressed air it off! flood it with armorall mixed 50/50 with water let dri till sticky buff with towel. No wax been on this bike and its good for everything on her. U tell me not bad for a 35k 98 living in a gravel pit!!
