I'm not sure but it should be soon.  Yamaha's site is updated with the '06 lineup.  I'm gonna hijack this thread but did anyone see the new FZ1???????  Other than the goofy, uglier-than-the-Gixxer1k exhaust....

Oh my....  I think I need a moment...

This sounds odd, though:

The official new product launch will occur here in Canada on Oct. 10th.

I have a friend who will be attending the show.

Pitter - that's the budget way to give both adjustments... counting on one leg to tell the other one what to do. The new FZ1 also has a newer verion of a detuned R1 lump (WHY do they always feel the need to detune nakeds?)
The R1 inspired seat doesn't look so comfy...

Shouldn't be too surprising Buggyho... Yamaha owns Ohlins - and had been rumored to come out with a "premium" version of the R1  - I've been hearing there'll be an R6 version, too.

Actually, I kinda like the look of the FZ1's exhaust.  It could be skinnier, but has a bit of Moto GP look to it.  Maybe the aftermarket will make one that looks better?

Dang, your right. Thats a nice looking bike! Exhaust kinda looks like a vacuum cleaner. But then, how many of us keep stock exhausts?

Paul,

Here's the link to the new 2006 R1 LE:

http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelhome/499/0/home.aspx

Full Ohlins suspension, slipper clutch, Marechesini wheels. Rumor has it that only 500 will be built. Price not published yet, probably around $15K.

I prefer to call it re-tuned. :bigok:
Just because it works better in the real world is not a bad thing, right?

I would not be supprised at all to see suzuki introduce a new sport tourer model powered by the hayabusa motor.  It makes since.  The busa motor has plenty of low and midrange power as well as a righteous top end.  Heck, they could probably just modify the hayabusa some and make it work, give it a little more protective fairing and screen and basically a Honda Interceptor riding position.  I remember the busa I had.  The screen was absurdly low.  It's designed for a top speed run with no regard to real world riding.

Dissin' the Speed Trip???? Blasphemy!!!!!    It looks awsome mounted high like that on the Trip.  It fits the cool chopped tail.  I think it's silly on the new Gix and the FZ.  Just my $.02.

Supposedly the new bikes for Suzuki are going to be the GSXR750 and 600...don't know about any of the others.  Typically the new models start to show in October but the other companies are getting a little quick this year.

Since Rob was first to hijack the thread with a FZ pic...

Seen the "FJR Lite" version of the FZ-1/Fazer?
