I have heard some people on here talk about a sealant that will seal a rusty tank on a motorcycle. I have a snowmobile with a plastic tank and want to get some of that creme to seal some little cracks that I havent been able to get with the JB weld and such. What retailers have you seen this at. I checked out oriley auto and Auto Zone and niether had it.

i got mine at the local suzuki dealer. You might have to hit up a motorcycle specific shop. There's also another tank deruster called POR15? i think? Some have said it's better than kreme.
-
But i guess that wouldn't actually seal cracks and that's what you're trying to do. Maybe i should read the whole post first.
-
I don't think either of those products will work with plastic... try googling plastic gas tank repair see what you come up with. I'd probably bite the bullet and try finding a new tank.
-
Yeah, Kreem is designed for metal. Without confirming it, I'd be afraid it wouldn't bond to well enough plastic.

While an OEM tank, even plastic, is going to be overpriced, there are third-party tanks that are realistically priced. When I was looking for a replacement tank for my old rusted-out B4 tank, I saw a bunch of plastic third-party tanks listed up on ebay. Those dealers might have something you can use.

Wow, i read the post, responded, read the post again, re-responded and still never noticed it was a plastic tank. i think i'm going to go operate heavy machinery now.

Re-read it again. I noticed.
