Today i made an offer on a 02 Blue bandit 1200s locally for 4k was advertised at 4500$

Ownere told me come and see the bike and if she is in a good mood she will sell it.WTF

anyway the bike has
14k ,corbin with back rest ,givi screen ,jetted /exhaust ,brand new tires.All i have to add is progressive spring and a busa shock and call it done.

Or a 2000 triumph tiger in yellow with luggage and new tire .....emmmm


or
a 1996[i thought they came out in 1997] bandit 1200s /10k miles for 1500$  and sup it up for a 1k
and ride it

If it were me, I would probably go with the older bandit 1200 unless you preferred the color of the new one.

On the '02 B12 - ask what jet kit and ask for hte VIN to see if it's in the suspect range for bad pistons. (See the FAQ for details if you're not familiar with what I'm talking about.)

The 1200 did come out in '97 for the US, but DMV title folks aren't always the sharpest knives in the drawer, so if it was built in '96 it may have been titled wrong.
