Woman arraigned on assault charge for road rage incident
By KATU Web Staff
VANCOUVER, Wash. - A Camas woman was arraigned on an assault charge on Monday in connection with a case of 'road rage.'
Twila Lamb and her husband, John Lamb, were arrested Saturday after they got in a scuffle with several motorcyclists on State Route 14 near Interstate-205.
Police say Twila Lamb intentionally rammed one of the motorcycle riders with her car.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle driver, 23-year-old Brandon T. Brooks of Gresham, was ejected over the handlebars and came to rest at the bottom of a hill.
Police say following the crash, Twila Lamb got out of her car, ran down the hill and assaulted Brooks. Witnesses say her husband came down the hill as well and tackled Brooks to the ground.
Brooks and another motorcyclist involved in the incident ended up with minor injuries.
Twila Lamb faces a charge of First Degree Assault and her husband, John Lamb, faces a charge of Fourth Degree Assault.

I think she should be charged with attempted vehicular homicide. Her husband should get a baseball bat to his melon.

Camas couple arrested in highway altercation
Police say aggressive driving of a car and 4 motorcycles on State Route 14 escalated into a crash and assault
Monday, August 29, 2005
A Camas couple were arrested on assault charges after a weekend incident in Clark County involving their car and four motorcycles.
Twila D. Lamb, 46, was driving a 1998 BMW 740 west on State Route 14 near Interstate 205 on Saturday afternoon when she and the motorcyclists began to drive aggressively, speeding, swerving and braking, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Lamb swerved, and her car's passenger-side mirror struck the left elbow of Jason L. Wacker, a 24-year-old Gresham resident, troopers said. Wacker and the other motorcyclists headed north on Interstate 5 and took the Fourth Plain Boulevard exit, with Lamb following.
The BMW then "intentionally rammed" the 2005 Suzuki GSX-R1000 ridden by Brandon T. Brooks, a 23-year-old Gresham resident, police said. The Suzuki crashed, hurling Brooks over the handlebars.
"According to witnesses, when Brooks came to rest at the bottom of the hill, Lamb exited her vehicle, ran down the hill and started assaulting Brooks," the state patrol said in a news release. Lamb's husband, John, 56, tackled Brooks, the patrol said.
No one was seriously injured, police said.
Twila Lamb was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault, and John Lamb was booked on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, police reported. No charges were filed against the motorcyclists.
Good gawd....if you can't outrun a GSXR1000 in your BMW....run them off the road?

This is absolutely attempted murder. What the h$ll is wrong with her and other people. Geez, I fuss at other drivers sometimes in the privacy of my car, but I can't imagine throwing my vehicle at someone. Is this a Western thing, you know, adults being childish and out of control. How do you function in your life as a walking powder keg? :duh:
I guess an important question is...did the cyclists frack with her first and initiate the altercation? Hope not.
-
Dunno. I was kind of wondering the same thing, although 'flipping off' somebody, or something like it, isn't exactly grounds for self defense with a vehicle.
I kind of think if they had ANYTHING on the riders, there'd be some mention of it.
This may be one of those situations where the riders did something minor, if at all, and/or the lunatic in the BMW percieved they did something and deserved to be punished.
I mean....how many times of you passed somebody, and they act like it's something personal...and then they pass you...maybe cut you off....or slow down, or something stupid.
It is kind of bizarre that the couple ran down the hill to attack the rider after launching him off his bike.
They have an older BMW 7 series. Let's hope they don't have lots of money for lawyers.

Trash is everywhere, man.

I'm with you guys on this one.
It sounds to me like the riders did something that pissed the woman and her husband off, it could have been something simple as cutting through traffic. From the details in the second posting, it sounds to me like it quickly turned into the riders trying like hell to get away from the crazy lady in the BMW after she side-swiped one of them. They changed expressways and exited, according to the news post "with Lamb following", which sounds to me like she'd decided to teach these punks a lesson.
By ramming the guy, then jumping out of the car and running down the hill to beat on him, they pretty much stated their intentions. They were out for blood. You don't ram someone with a BMW and then beat the crap out of them if your not trying to hurt them.
They need to tack an 'attempted murder' on there for her, and an 'accessory to attempted murder' at the very least for her husband!
-
I can see it now.....she ran down the hill, started kicking the rider, screaming 'Look what you did to my car!'
Don't play with cagers. These aren't the only ones that are wrapped too tight!
They do have a little video of the biotch being arraigned.......

Some people just lose it. i remember at Christmas time a few years back a lady ran over another woman who was a little quicker getting into a parking stall. She hit her with the car as she was walking to the mall. Put her up on the hood, hit the brakes to get her off, then drove away.

You guys in the Portland area help us keep track of what happens with this....puh-leeeeeze!
Woman Accused Of Beating Motorcyclist
Aggressive Driving Allegedly Leads To Attack
VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A stay-at-home mom is accused of beating up a motorcycle rider in a road-rage incident.
Twila Lamb and four motorcyclists she didn't know were reportedly driving aggressively around each other right before the attack.
While still on the freeway, the 46-year-old allegedly swerved to the right and struck a 24-year-old rider on his elbow with her side mirror.
Lamb followed them in her BMW, intentionally ramming a motorcyclist at an off ramp. Witnesses say she knocked the 23-year-old over his handlebars and onto the shoulder. She reportedly got out of the car and ran down a hill to attack the man. She ripped the side mirror off his bike and hit him with it.
Her husband, 56-year-old John Lamb, allegedly went down the hill and tackled the rider to the ground.
Neither rider was seriously injured.
The Lambs were arrested for assault, and the motorcyclists do not face charges.
Investigators say alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the incident.

Good move, Brunhilda. You may be able to use that tactic later on the cell block....
Sheese. Even if these guys were total squids....there ain't no excuse..... :duh:

Imagine the lawsuit!!! Boy she really went Jihad!! She should be on a Thorazine drip to calm her down.

nuts,,,,,,
of course he should've never let that cage ever catch up to that GSX-er!

I'm changing my mind. He deserved to be run off the road for wearing his hat backwards in the intervew..... :duh:
Methinks this dude is fairly squidly..............
I couldn't get the whole video to play, but it sounds like the car was trying to keep them from passing, and/or they passed in a squidly manner.
was he wearing a helmet? They mentioned his face was scratched up, which I guess is possible if you're riding with the face shield up, or it came up in the slide. It sounds like his sneakers got torn up in the wreck....
-
Yup, young squid on a gixxer 1000. But, still no excuse for cage rage.
Can anyone say ? "Nuclear PMS !" Female Defcon 1
-
My guess is he probably was wearing a helmet of some kind. WA has a helmet law, as does nearby OR (just across the river from where this happened). I haven't seen any helmet law flaunters around here, even on cruisers. The squids up here are pretty good about wearing a full-face lid, even when they're in shorts, wife beaters and tennies. Pretty rare to see a sportbike rider with a beanie or nazi lid.
