After much internal debat, I bought a Zero Gravity Sport Touring screen for the B12. It works fantastic! I'm 5'10", takes the wind off to mid helmet which suits me fine. Relieves the neck strain but still allows some air flow to top vent of helmet. I was worried about reported noisy turbulance but it's much less than I expected, plus I wear ear plugs anyway. Wish I'd had that screen when I rode out to colorado from Alabama recently.

Yeah, I've seen those "wing tips". They look like they would ad even more comfort. I think I'll try mine like it is for a while. Maybe it'll be enough.

i'm looking at getting that shield for my B12 also. how hard is it to take stock shield off, and install the zero gravity? how much of the fairing has to come apart, etc.? i don't have a haines or any other manual that shows me whats what.

It's not too bad Redbeard. Just follow the step by step instructions on Zero Gravity's website regarding the Bandit. Go to www.zerogravity-racing.com. The instructions are very helpful. Excuse me if this is a double post. I just tried posting a reply and it didn't seem to go thru.

The instructions on the ZG site are nice... they weren't there back when I ordered mine 4 years ago.

I recommend you have a tube of clear silicone sealer handy and put a thin bead of it on the windscreen flanges (all around). Won't be visible when you reassemble and will ward off any vibration/buzziness.

Mine sang like a bird until I went back in and did this. I think the ZG is just a micron or so too thin to fit snug enough without the sealant.

It'll save you having to go back in a second time, which is a good thing. Not hard to do, but the tabs can break off and I hate breaking things. The less on/off, the better.

thanks for the info. i know what you are saying about the vibe/buzz, it's pretty bad on my bandit with stock shield, and i would definitly want to avoid that if i install a new one. thanks again.

Hadn't heard of the silicone trick, but I'm sure that works.
I've heard of folks using weatherstripping foam tape and that sort of thing.
