This is way late (and late in the season) but I'm in Cross Plains, about 8 miles west of Mad-town.

I've only seen one or two other Bandits at Bike Night at the Lube...

Quaker Steak and Lube is on US 14 / University just west of the Beltline (12).  Get off the Beltline on University and head west.  It's on the right (north side) with a big neon "EAT" sign.  Can't miss it.  You'll have to jockey up a frontage road to get there.

Bike night was every Wednesday night, but they stopped in October, since attendance starts to drop with cooler weather.  They rope off the parking lots for bikes only, bring in a live band and encourage hanging about and tire kicking.  There are hundreds of bikes, mostly cruisers, but with a good selection of sportbikes and standards.  There are a handful of excellent condition Honda Hawks that show up regularly, quite a few true customs (in addition to the silly choppers) and really oddball things, like a Munch Mammot.

I'm still riding to work, but recreational riding on weekday evenings has tapered since the sun goes down before I get off.  The weekends are still game, though.

Yes I have been to the lube. A couple of times. I work on that side of town so as soon I get off of work I sometimes head down. I don't stay to long usally. One time I saw a Bandit.

So are there a lot of bikes there?  Is it worth the 1.5 hour ride?

Depends. Sometimes there is somewhere around 200 bikes sometimes theres 100 bikes or less. Most are Harleys or customs. There is a number of sportbikes and rare bikes. ex: two strokes   Quaker state and lube does have really good hot wings. There are some good roads in that area too.
