I second the Route 97 along the Delaware...Beautiful views...there is Kittatiny Campground right outside Port Jervis along 97 too...I have camped there many times and love it...nice and quite I usually ask for the furthest site from the Office which is near the Paintball Entrance. (Brain Fart on the Site #)

Keep it coming folks. I love this forum. Rochester is our first night, got some helpful tips there. Port Jervis is our second night, got some help there. Does anyone know of a campground up the Hudson Valley, around Hudson or east of there on 23.

Okay, so we're on the road and it's awesome. We came down 97, along the Delaware and wow, the last 10 miles before you get to Port Jervis is something else. However, Port Jervis is a little back woods. We went to Milford and found it to be a great place to stay and eat.

Day two - on to NYC. We arrived mid day and checked into our motel in North Bergen (495). It's a little ghetto but it's cheap. Now we're heading into the big smoke for a ride thru Central Park.

On Wednesday afternoon we rode around NYC. It's a crazy place to be when it's 95+ degrees. The there are the local driving rules that you have to learn. Carumbaz, those guys in the yellow cars.

Now we're in Cape Cod. Tomorrow we head for Montreal via Vermont.

This is great.

The sheepskin has saved our behinds, we ride all day.

 We went through Woodstock after taking the Pallisades Parkawy north from NYC. When we got to Kingston we went west on 28 and then over the mountain into Woodstock, great switchbacks.

Okay, we did the Cape Cod scene - total waste. Too many people, too many cars, not enough roads, too many men in white trousers, too many neat and tidy's.

Back across MA with all it's poorly marked roads and into Vermont. I bought a T-shirt for my daughter that says it all...

If you pray everyday and go to church on Sundays then when you die you'll go to Vermont.

We're in White River junction, only half done and it's been totally awesome. Route 100 to 100A to 4. I must be dead.

Tomorow I get to do the top half. Yeee haa!

Okay, we're home. We did just under 2000 miles with only 2 hours of rain, no accidents, no flats, no mechanical problems, and no speeding tickets. The lack of speeding tickets was probably because we weren't. It was a great trip but two up is less than half as fun. Next time we go for a long run I want the mrs. on her own mule.

I have a couple of pics to post to trip pics. We shot some great over the shoulder video going through Smugglers Notch and a few other places. I don't have any video editing software yet so I can't make it small enough to post

We had a great time and I really love the roads south of the border, especially in the hilly country. Awesome, thanks for letting us in.

It was a trade... we let you in because you let Bobcat & I into Alberta & BC last month.  
We didn't get ant speeding tickets either, but not for the reason you stated. Bobcat's radar detector probably saved us from at least one performance award.
Western Canada certainly has some great twisties!
