A Bucks County PA Covered Bridge Tour
« on: May 01, 2007, 08:56:06 AM »
Would anyone like to  take part in a tour of the covered bridges in Bucks County, Pennsylvania?  I put one together a few years ago for the Baltimore /WashingtonDC BMW club when I was into old BMWs.  It is a pleasant, unpretentious excursion, about 2 hours worth of riding, as I recall.  Some of the bridges may have been damaged in recent floods, so I will have to run the course first to see about detours.
If there are enough of us, I'll pick a restaurant not too far from Doylestown where we can meet and end up for lunch, set a starting time of 10:00 A.M. on a Saturday or Sunday later this month (May), and provide a printed route guide.  I'll send directions to the meeting place restaurant.  There would be a  raindate.  I would like to invite V Strommers as well, just to have a little diversity (I ride a 650 V Strom and a B1250).
If interested, send me a message at pierre@snip.net
What do we exist for but to laugh at our neighbors and be made sport of in our turn? (Jane Austin)

I've seen a lot of them.  It should be a beautiful ride.  I'd definitely take part if I had street bike.   :duh:
