Did you go?

I couldn't make it this year - and last year just chose not to. I actually prefer the ride without the crowd of an organized event like that. Besides, last time I went, the WSP got wind of the event and had tax collectors out for the return leg. Fortunately, they were busy with other customers when I rode by.

Haven't had a chance to ride any of the roads around here, just drive them... but for the most part, the roads in this part of France are pretty straight and boring. This part of France reminds me a lot of Kansas.

I'm hoping to go explore more of the country once my wife gets here in a couple weeks. I know there's lots of good roads in the country, what with the Alps, Pyranees and all the coastlines... I just have been to those areas yet.

Really looking forward to this weekend though... The Magny-Cours racetrack is ~1.5 hour drive from here and this weekend is the Bol D'Or 24 hour roadrace. (And about a month from now, the final round of World Superbike will be there!)
