Mt Rainier, Jul 1?
« on: June 14, 2005, 03:31:56 PM »
I put a post on Max-Suz for a ride around Rainier on  Fri, July 1.  Being its a weekday it may be a little tough for most to make it.  Fridays before a long weekend are slow for me.  Details are on the MS site.  I figure I'd watch the weather, etc & see how things go.

If I'm gonna take a day off work to go riding, I'd rather not have it be on the Friday of a long weekend - especially to a popular tourist destination like the Big R... but I might be willing to go anyway - but the weather will have to be better than our St. Helens expidition last month.

I've done this ride before and i'm suprised how little traffic there is.  I think people are gearing up to leave that afternoon or eve.  On the return its westbound on 410 and all the traffic is heading east.  I'll be on weather watch too and we'll see how it goes.

I spent a little time at Fort Lewis. at the time I was riding a little 883 sportster and I had a ball riding Mt St. Helens and Mt. Rainer and I even liked the desert side over around the Tri Cities area(Kenniwick) and down into oregon. I wish I could come back and Ride them rodes on my Bandit. But I have no intentions of re-enlisting in the army, so I guess I will have to settle for these little ozark hills in Arkansas.
Keep the shiny side up!
