PNW Bandit Tour 2008
« on: April 30, 2008, 02:02:56 PM »
From another thread:
2 words: Lo, and Lo.
I need to make it past this sign:

I was talking with Bobcat on the phone yesterday and we were discussing a multi-day ride for later this summer - say mid-August.  This ride would take in Lolo Pass (see the sign above).  Also some of western Montana, Idaho and Washington and perhaps some of Oregon, too.  Specific routes and dates are not set in stone and open for discussion.

Any takers?

It may just be the two of us again. Paul said he might make it, and Bulldog might come, so fingers crossed.

This looks pretty kickass:

If you big boys don't mind a little B4 along for the ride, I'd be up for it. I could help arrange accommodations in Spokane as well.

There's a couple of nice routes, it seems from here to there.

And just west, in the Nez Perce are this couple of lovely side trips on 7 and 11.

and North of there, as a route in or out, the stuff around St Maries and Couer D'alene is real nice.

Count me in...I'll work it out. I'm assuming something like a 4+ day ride?

The Lolo is a blast! There is a lovely little road on route, north of Hwy 12 between Kendrick and Orfino that is a great warm up for the Lolo as well.

Let's pick a date so that I can block out the time...

Let's plan on leaving Saturday the 16th, and then returning sometime mid/late week. That work for you guys?

Hey Bobcat

It might work better if you started from your place on Friday, Aug. 15th. Then we have a better chance of allowing some of the Calgary guys to join us for the Lolo on Sat/Sun/Mon. How much time does Red01 have? You and Red could head through Republic and I could meet you in somewhere like Colville then we could make our way through Spokane and down to Lewiston.

Sat 16th through the Lolo, maybe back through Glacier/Going to the Sun road on Sunday, Libby Dam through to Tiger on Monday, back to Ellensburg on Tuesday?

Open to suggestions, but I'll block out the Fri-Tues, Aug 15-19th. How's everone else's schedule?

Hey all I know I am new here but I have the whole summer off!!! (Yes that is a slight bit of bragging) I am super interested in the ride and would love to get in on it if you will have me.

Those dates work for me. It's possible I'll have a final on Aug 15 (yes, I'm a 37 year old student now...) but being in Spokane, with everyone else coming from elsewhere, I think it'll work out alright. And it's only a possibility.

And the wife says yes

How much time does Red01 have?

I can take off Fri 8/15 thru as late as the 24th easily...

I know it's a bit early still, but...

What are the plans? Does anyone need accommodations in Spokane? etc etc etc
