Alpinestars TZ-1 Leather jacket ?
« on: May 02, 2005, 06:39:05 PM »
I'm looking into getting one of these:

Anyone have one?  How does it fit (snug or loose for the size.  I'm a US44).  How is the armor?
Thanks!

I have one of these jackets.  They are probably one of the nicest leather jackets for the money.  Sizing runs true to other  gear I have purchased.
A great sport jacket.  The only bad thing is that word must have got out.  I see quite a few people wearing them at the local MC hangouts.

My buddy just bought one of these:

I was pretty impressed with the quality.  The fit on the Icon is a bit more relaxed.   And it looks good in all black.

Well, I bought it.  This jacket makes me want to ride really...really fast!  The sizing is great, and the leather isn't too stiff (for being brand new).  My last jacket was (and still is) a FirstGear Kilimanjaro.  It's also a great piece of gear, which is why I'm going to hang on to it.  The biggest difference is the lack of fabric flappiness in the Alpinestars.  I really feel like I'm slipping through the air.

I got it pricematched at metricbikes.com for $265 (free shipping), which I think is a steal!
