Picked one of these textile jackets up on closeout at newenough.com for $120. After about 500 miles I'd say I'm pretty happy with it.
Pros: Is way cooler than my heavy leather jacket, and the vents open right up when I assume the (riding) position. When it cools off, the liner should be pretty warm and it includes a piece that can wrap around my neck.
Con:The only real bitch I have is that when I close the collar, the scratchy side of the velcro rubs on my neck, which is irritating. Those of you with pencil to normal size necks should be OK because you will be able to close the collar further. Also it is not any more waterproof than say a heavy shirt, not a big deal to me.
Overall I'd say it's a pretty good light weight textile. Not as heavy or as rugged as the JR Meteor jackets I bought for the family, but much more comfortable, and cooler as well.
I'll update on durability when I get some more miles on it.
