It doesn't eliminate the need for 2 straps for the front end, and you still need two straps on the rear. I can attest to the durability of these things, too. I used to work at a bike shop and we had two that were always in our pickup truck. They got used EVERY DAY FOR THE SIX YEARS I WAS THERE!We tied down everything from 50cc dirtbikes to GoldWings! Most of the time they just got left in the bed of the truck exposed to sun, rain, snow, you name it (this was in CT).They were slightly worn and color faded, but they were still structurally perfect.
