ELECTRICAL OUTLET & AIRMAN SPARROW PUMP
« on: July 23, 2005, 11:22:44 PM »
I buy the fifty dollar bmw electrical outlet for every bike I buy.  Comes with a nice spring loaded water tight cap and a bracket that allows it to be easily mounted in place using a longer than stock screw on the left rear passenger footpeg bracket ( you have to find the right size screw for your bike ), use the front screw on the bracket.  The plug is hardwired to the battery and comes with just the right amount of wire so as to not take up too much space.  On my bandit, the plug looks like stock equipment. It runs my bmw elect vest, the airman sparrow elect air pump, and can charge or power my cell phone if needed.  Lots of safety applications to an elect outlet.  You can buy an adaptor at bmw to convert to conventional plug size as in using the cell phone which has a car size outlet.  The Airman Sparrow elect pump is another great thing.  It uses a dual plug that works on both bmw and conventional outlets.  The Airman fits absolutely perfect under the B12's seat, I mean it's like it was tailor made for the bike.  Just take it out of the box and wallah.  Add a wal-mart tire plug kit under the seat ( fits in side of tail section ) and your set for that inevitable flat.  CO2 cartrigdes might do ok, but what if I goof?  That's it.  But with the elect pump you have an endless supply of air, kinda like a politician just before an election.
