I usually bring mine along - but it's more there in case of emergency - or to take pictures when my camera's battery dies or the card gets full. I don't even turn the thing on unless I'm off the bike.

As for tunes, I have a helmet wired for sound. It's old fashioned wire tech (Chatterbox intercom with plug-ins for phone and music player of choice). I found listening to music while riding a distraction in the twisties for me. I'd only use it if I was doing a freeway drone, so I don't use it anymore. Might have something to do with my abilty to walk and chew gum at the same time, but only if the two are synchronized.

I voted no because I'd rather hear my exhaust and concentrate on the asshats around me rather than talk to more on the phone.

Great idea !

Volume control can go on the side next to one of the helmet's air vents. I have missed emergency calls because the phone was stored under the seat while I was en route to work or school. However you can retrofit a voice activated answering to the bluetooth helmet to make answering calls while riding.    :beers:  I would be interested in buying one .

A good way to go if you are looking to integrate cell phone and 2-way radio technology is to go with throat microphones.  Those things are awesome.  I have one that is wired and on a 2way it sounds great

I have no use for talking on the phone and riding at the same time. But if you made a helmet with speakers where I could send a signal from my ipod to the helmet I'd be all over it. So I voted YES. But if you only meant phone stuff, then it should be NO.

Any progress made on this, or is this a dead issue now?

Yes I would be interested. Being a business owner, I need to be contacted 24/7, shyte happens, and at times answers are needed. Yes I would love to just be able to turn the efen thing off, better still, leave the sucker at home, but it comes with the job :annoy: and the $ we earn.

The last thing that I want to do when I am out riding is answer the phone, but then, that's just me!!!!!

Agreed, I just don't understand people who insist on talking on the phone (hands free or not) when they are supposed to be concentrating on driving/riding.

but knowing the business that Mick is in, every phone call could be money.....

I agree with what ya saying, even if im riding, to be able to at least answer the phone, and say "hang on while I find a safe place to pull up" and your right every phone call could mean anything from a single dollar to $200 dollar kicker in the wallet every week. Wouldn't I be kicking myself missing out on that cause I was out to busy riding.
