Title: New guy here
Post by: doublebandit on June 17, 2007, 06:33:44 PM
I just got my new 1250 abs bandit, and it is truly an amazing bike! My first bike in 12 yrs, my last was an 82 suzuki gs 750. I love the bike, but am wondering if anyone makes some softer grips, and a better seat for it. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

I have a 2007 Bandit also and I have already changed out the grips. I think I do better when my hands are a little more "open" rather than clenched down on the grips that are so thin. That's the real reason that I changed mine. I just went to the dealer and said "hey, I need some fatter grips." And here I am with fatter grips. They are not exactly what I wanted but a lot better than the grips that came on the bike...Banditone1250s... :congrats:

Most dealers have a pretty good selection of different grips (at least around here). Just be sure to get MOTORCYCLE grips (not ATV) for 7/8" bars. (ATV grips don't have a slightly fatter one for the throttle since they use thumb throttles.)

Yeah, the grips are tiny, and I seem to clench down on em a little, a fatter grip would definitely work. My buddy has a dirt bike/ atv accesories shop, but he used to be big into the street bikes, so he's lookin for some parts for me. Thanks for the replies.
