Nice Suzuki Jacket in AussieLand but I wonder...

What does 'Suzuki replica' mean?  Knockoff?  Ripoff?

Looks like a deal if you lived there but the shipping over here is $65.

That's kind of hard to figure out.  Usually, a "replica" means a lower-cost, lower-quality version of something, like a replica sports jersey or a new version of something that is o longer made, like a replica car.

Here's the tricky part:  A replica can be an *authorized* licensed replica or not.  I would normally think of a replica jacket being an authoirzed but lower-performance version of something racers wear, using the sports jersey analogy.  Otherwise, a jacket that says "Suzuki" on it is just a jacket, no matter whether you buy it from a Suzi dealer or off ebay or what.

So I'd say that if you find one you like and the price is right, who cares?

That looks like a very high quality jacket to me.  I think he's just using the term replica incorrectly or unnecessarily.  I wouldn't hesitate to wear that.  With a BLACK helmet!

Maybe he meant a word more like moniker or trademark.  A jacket with Suzuki's moniker/emblem/trademark, etc.
