Title: Rjays Hard Luggage - Any Good?
Post by: Human Potato on April 10, 2008, 07:18:16 AM
Hi Guys,

Has anyone got any R-Jays hard luggage?  They may be an Australian only company, I am not sure.  I noticed that they are a hell of a lot cheaper than GIVI or other brands but I wonder about the quality...

I don't have RJAY's luggage myself, but I know a couple of blokes who do, and they reckon it's alright.  Although the top box isn't the most attractive thing I've seen strapped to a bike.

I have the rjays top box on both of the bikes, the one on the fjr has lasted ok so far in it's 80K of roads, and the one on the 600 has yet to be used!
the way i see it, i can go thru a couple of the rjays ggear before i even meet the cost of the givi etc.  yah i'm a cheapskate and altho the box isnt the best looking it'll do me.  I've been curious myself as to what hard bags will fit the G1 600, at the moment o have a pair of softy's err... dri riders, and they have done ok also.

The base plate on the rjays topbox is crap. a decent base plate and a lay some candy jam over the lid to match the bike and all is good!

G'day all what model do you have?? The place I work is a Givi distributer (in Oz BTW) I am willing to try and save you some money.
I have also been authorised to open any accounts I want to, so getting one for RJays isn't out of the question.
I can also help with Continental, Metzeler & Pirelli tyres.

Thanks Dink, I'll keep that in mind.  But, given that "The Treasurer" is now considering a replacement for her M750 (See Aussie forum), I think it'll be a while, yet again, before I can spend money on the B12.
