Woo hoo! My Sargent Cycle seat was delivered this evening!
With SuperCell foam. Praying it's WAY more comfortable than the stocker. THAT big test will be tomorrow. In the meantime, here's initial pics in my poorly lit garage tonight. Despite what it looks like, the red on the seat is much closer to the bike's color in bright lights. The welt is the same silver as the aluminum parts on the bike, not white as it sort of appears now.

Sargent does such nice work! This is my second seat from them. And it took a week less than quoted, too.

Wow!! Excellent seat. Do they have one that matches a black bandit?
-
They rework the seat you send them. You can get it in whatever colors or options you want, from plain black to whatever your wild imagination can come up with.

Hey Herb:
What exactly did you have them do to your stock seat?
It looks like you ordered the piping & insert options. Did you have it widened or moded in any way?
Thinking about having my stock seat done seeing how I lost the bid on the corbin seat on E bay.

Thanks. Well, how's it feel? Hmmm, much better for me, no noticeable improvement for my passenger, though. She still got butt-burn after about 20 minutes. When I ordered I could have had them build up the padding back there, but I was afraid of getting away from the stock shape, so even with SuperCell it seems to be too hard. I was afraid of getting too much of a split-level look like the old Suzuki "L" model seats of the '80s.
For me, it feels much more like a saddle now, you know, a fit. Very firm right now. Need to get a few hundred miles on it. More roomy for moving around and adjusting position. I like it so far. I'll always wonder if a gel seat would have been a better idea from the standpoint of hauling a passenger. I may still have to get a strap on gel seat cover for my daughter, but that's not too much $$$. And she only rides with me a couple of times a month.
I may have another seat made eventually with a focus on the passenger seating area, since I do still have my original stock seat.

Well, as you said, I selected Carbon F/X seat inserts, maroon trim, and silver welting. Inside, they steam your existing foam, if it's decent, to return it to it's original size, shape, and consistency, then I had them add their proprietary SuperCell foam over that in the interest of more comfort. They will reshape and whatnot per your instructions, but I was afraid to go that route and asked them to maintain the overall stock shape.
You sure drink a lot of sodapop.
 You don't miss a thing! Yes, in fact, I do! About 6 a day. Then there's what the wife and kids suck down. You ain't seein' the half of it!
Although it wasn't a prime consideration, my color/design choices were made with a bit of an eye towards the possibility of that seat eventually ending up on a BLACK 1200S. My Givi top case also has a red stripe and red goes really well with black, so I still have a match if I buy a newer Bandit. Which WILL be black. I love black bikes. And I'm in the market for a second bike, or a change in plastics for mine (black) . I wouldn't mind having another Bandit...
And after I do these things, I wonder if my wife will bury them with me.

Looks great!
:congrats:
I'm happy with my two Sargent seats.
I'm guessing the total came to about the same price as a 'stock' Corbin?
Much more unigue!
Specially this time of year, with a lot of people running to Florida for vacations.....you may want to consider dropping a seat pan off at Sargent on the way. They're maybe 5 minutes from I-95 in Jacksonville.
The guys at the counter are very sharp, and will suggest some color, foam, and shaping options....and probably pull some seats from the back for you to look at. In 10 minutes or so, you can leave, knowing your seat will be shipped home to you in a week or two, looking good.

$257.90, not counting the $16-$20 it cost to UPS it there.
