I just picked up a shoei TZ-R. The helmet fit is great, the cheak pads are removable. The shell size is much smaller then the previous helmet. The visor lock is great and the visor is easy to remove. Ventilation is amazing.
The downside is wind noise inside the helmet is really loud. Contrary to reviews I've read online... Anyone else find them loud? or am I a freak?
All in all you can't beat the helmet for the price.

I bought a bunch of stuff and ended up wheeling and dealing with the shop. The orginal tag on the lid was $599 cdn (530 US), and it was marked down to $299 (265 US). I ended up buying icon pursuit gloves (great for street riding) and a dark visor and the gave it to me for 400 dollars (350 US) tax included (and tax here is 15%!!).
Online the TZ-R looks like it goes for $270-280 US. It's the cheapest shoei helmet, but its a quality lid.
