I bought one at an airshow a couple of days ago.
These are adjustable holders that can be configured to securely hold a variety of portable devices.
Essentially, they're made of several pieces of varying width Velcro straps, that can be shifted to accomodate your gadget, and hold it securely.
You can configure the same holder in a minute or so to carry a GPS, cell phone, walkman, PDA.....whatever!
Pretty simple, but it works.
The holder doesn't offer any weather protection, or any substantial impact protection. The straps are nice and thick, but it isn't a 'padded' case.
I've been using one for a couple of days for my Treo 600 cell phone, and have tried it out with various handheld radios and devices.

As a belt type cell phone holder, it's easy to attach to your belt without unbuckling the belt....and the phone hangs a bit lower than most, for us with 'waistline' obstructions.
I can see this being using to attach a cell phone or GPS unit to a tankbag, or any convenient place you can throw the loop around.
It would be easy to slip the item out of the holder when you want to, or
take the whole thing with you.
You can adjust the holder to make it a very 'snug' fit, or somewhat loose. It's up to you.
The provided thin strip of velcro material is used as an additional securing device, by running it across the top of the item carried.
One minor gripe I have with the very thin securing strip, is it's a little small to remove without looking at the holder.
I'm going to add some wider strips, so I can get my fat fingers on the strip to remove the phone/item easier.
No major problem! You can adjust the holder to carry the phone/radio easily, in most uses, without using the securing strap. For riding, or untimate security, I'll use the extra strap. Walking around....you may not need it, and it conveniently 'sticks' out of the way.
They have various sizes to accomodate almost anything 'portable'.

Above is a picture of the same holder, with various sized radios/phones/gps units in it. It takes minute to adjust the 'girth' of the holder. The depth is not adjustible. Check the dimensions of the stuff you want to use the holder for before you order. There is quite a bit of leeway in the 'girth', and even some in the height......just taller stuff may stick out more, or you may need a longer 'tether' strap.
You can adjust the holder to accomodate phones/radios with the typical rotating belt clip attached.
The bottom center picture shows the belt attaching loop, loose. The endof the webbing is a very large velcro patch, which self sticks to the holder material.....securing the holder to your belt. To remove the holder....just pull the velcro patch loose.
