Look as i might, i cant find washing instructions on my jacket, i fear i threw out the labels and such that were attached to it when i bought it.
How do you guys wash/waterproof yours.
Its an RST Vega textile jacket ( http://www.rst-moto.com/index2.html ), and had beer spilled on it the other night, so its a bit funky (and not in the james brown sense) at the moment.
Can anyone help me out ?

My JR textile says not to wash it in a machine or submerse it.  It has a white stripe across the chest that gets really gross w/ bugs and road derbis.  I took a bucket with some water and dish soap and a scrub brush to it.  The brush doesn't hold much water so it didn't get drenched.  The brush does get the soap good and foamy though.  Then I wiped it down with a damp rag to get the soap off and let it dry.  Worked well.

I removed the amour, had my grandmother wash my JR textile jacket alone in the washer, gentle cycle, cold water, then I let it air dry.  I re-inserted the armour, and it worked out very well, no shrinkage, or damage at all.  Got out the bugs and looks great, the white is actually white again.
