waterproof gloves

Anybody know of any genuinely waterproof gloves? I had 2 different pairs fail this weekend. 7 hours in the rain really sucks with wet hands

I have a pair of Fieldsheer leather waterproof gloves that have spent many an hour in the rain and my hands have never gotten wet once. I do not recall the model but they are bullet proof. You may try their web-site and shoot them an e-mail and I am sure that they could come up with something for you..

I've never found a pair of gloves that are water proof on their own.

My current pair of winter gloves come with 'over mittens' that are made the same material as standard waterproof pants.  Their not bad, but if you usually use 2 or 3 fingers for braking/clutch then it takes a bit of getting used to.

(1) Stop looking for waterproof motorcycling gloves
 (2) Start looking at snow skiing stuff, I have a set of Dents gloves, warm and toastie, and best still dry.
 (3) Handle bar mitts, like the pommie oxford units are brillant too.

Yes 7 hrs with wet hands does suck, when you used to work 11 to 12 hrs a day in melbourne in winter as a motorcycle courier.

I just use a pair of black rubber-coated gloves from the hardware store, $3.99/pair.

They're big enough to fit over my riding gloves, and small enough to pack easily with my rainsuit.

I hardly ever use them since I put the V-Strom handguards on, though.

Yupper...it seems to get in around the stitching between the fingers, regardless of how many layers of thermal or gore-tex stuff they have.

I see where some camping/hiking stuff is now using heat-welding rather than stitches, eliminating all the little perforations made by sewing.  Would like to see that concept spread to other products.

i have a set that failed also so what i do now is put a set of latex gloves under them. like the kind doctors wear, but we have nice thick ones at work that are not as tight. and are oil an solvent proof. i grab a handful and keep them in my tank bag.
