Anyone looking to do something to their rims that is inexpensive and not very time consuming, here's a website that sells rim stripes.

Cewl. I tried to do that myself with straight pinstriping and got very frustrated very quickly. I opted for these (which are available from a store on ebay - just search for rim decals):

What I like about these rim decals is that they're cut in a circular shape to fit 17-inch rims.

Red would be cool on the black B12S wheels. Is this what's on those black R1s wheels I see? Or is theirs "real"?
Did you do this? Got a pic?

I bought them a couple of weeks ago, but I'm waiting for warmer weather so that I can wash the rims before putting them on. I'm not sure about the R1 pic, but it does look too "perfect" to be decals. I have a blue/white '05, so I bought the dark blue decals. If I ever figure out how to post pics, I'll put one here.

Love to see it.
As far as posting pics goes, if you upload them to something like PhotoBucket.com, then all you have to do is click the IMG button, put in the pictures address, then click the IMG button again. If you ever need more help doing it, PM me. I've explained it to several people in the past on different boards.

Alright, let's see if I can make this work

Those are good, too. Where from?
-
Be safe and cover your plate number!

I got them off ebay. I'm assuming they're still there. They're curved as well, I just didn't do a great job of matching the curve of the wheel. It's harder then it looks.

LOL! That's the front, too! (after a track day) The back is about the same, tho. Not to hijack but... the profile of the M1s doesn't seem to lead itself to chix strip removal. I was down to nearly zero strip on my last two rear tires.

I will bet you all $100.00 US dollars that the pimply little bugger that works in my dealerships tire changing department could wound those pretty decals badly with just one visit!
They do look good however!

Well, I finally put the decals on. First time doing it, so I made a few mistakes in the beginning. Few suggestions: Put a clean towel on the ground next to the tire. I allowed the tape to touch the ground and had to throw it out because a few pieces of sand stuck to it (they provide 4 extra pieces thankfully!). Apply to the rim slowly in half-inch increments using both thumbs.

:bigok: Looks good, Chuck! :beers:

That does look nice. Makes me want red ones for mine.
-
How do these stickers hold up during/after a tire change?
-
Good question. I didn't give that any thought when I put them on. I'm gonna guess that if changing the tire doesn't scratch the rim, the stickers should be okay....I hope.
-
Looks like the decals are below the rolled edge that forms the bead of the rims, so tire changes shouldn't damage the decals unless the monkey changing the tire is ham fisted.

I put red reflective tape on my wheels, (black 2007 1250s) but before I did it I went to the dealer to ask if it woud take them right off just to change a tire. They told me to go ahead with the reflective decals as the tire change machine would get now where near where the strips are applied. It also gives me ten times the visibility as the solid black wheel and I am all about being seen among the "car driving monsters". They look really good too and the red ties in with the red on the tank.
