Heya Jim!
the Fort is about 2 hours north of the Springs, up near the Wyoming border. There's some great wide open country up here.
From the springs, hwy24 will take you pretty much anywhere in the mountains. I've heard great things about the Top of the World ride, but dont know details on it, other than its really high, and somewhere around here! lol...but yeah, mountains are good things
