Title: What happened to the AVATARS?

They got deleted in the crash.
    I've tried to restore them several times, but problems in our server space keeps screwing them up.
  At this time, our server space is flooded with inept attempts to restore lost data performed by both professionals, and amateurs.  It's a mess!   Once the dust and smoke settles on the server, we should be able to restore the Avatars!

  In the meantime, you're welcome to use an OFFSITE avatar.
  You can enter the URL of an offsite avatar by editing your user profile.

The avatars are coming back.  I'm uploading them slowly....

We're still showing 97% disc space usage......so not sure how many I'll be able to upload.......
