Well shoot I didn't see any responses so I didn't go. If someone plans a meet and great I'll be there. Maybe like at the Suzuki Dealership in Deland, every first Saturday of the month they hold a special event in the morning. I've never been there but would like to check it out.

Just let me know, I would enjoy meeting up with any fellow Banditos, anywhere you guys would like to.

So this is a motorcycle event like they have a t Hooters or what? Anyone know?
First i've heard of it! But i have been to the zuki dealer in Deadland, it's one of the better one's. Saturday's are open for me and some thing to get me off the couch is good! otherwise its where i will be for the duration!!

So November 5th...Suzuki Dealer in Deland?  I'll be there in the AM.  I'm going by there this week to pick up a part so I'll ask about the thing they do at the beginning of the month, see if its still going on.

So where was every one? Ok its such a nice day on the road to anywhere was the place to be! Rode to Deadland, (Killed half the bug population, something you folks up north don't need to worry about this time of the year!!)  :stickpoke: spent a few hours standing around, getting sized up by the sales folks somewhat, Met two Bandit riders, one trying to promote his seat upholstery biz in Deltona, the other who just took the 98 he was riding in trade for some work he did.The 98 only had 2800 miles on it!!? original tires, front was worn out! it had been dropped with some minor damage to eng case and fairing etc. One sales guy saw us looking at a VTX he liked and was well into a trade deal when i left. Looks like the old Bandits are kinda falling by the way side here anyway! They gave him $2100.00 for a trade on a like new VTX1300 w/5200 mi i think $8500.00 price. Not a trade i would consider but! The 98 Bandit had the stock headers so blue and cooked the metal was flakey where it comes out of the head!! stock canister, carbs still had epa plugs, no airbox holes, i asked if maybe filter was removed? rider didn't know! One of the shop guys was trying to sell him on a carb sync, valve adj, tune up! But said to me, that was normal for them they were so leaned out!! I didn't bother getting into a discussion on why my old girl's pipes still look as new with 33k miles!!! Any one had this problem? I don't think it will last too long unless it's corrected! i mean blue all the way to the canister! But idled and blipped fine with no abnormal engine noise @ all!!! Lots of riders on the way back! What is the proper wave etiquette? Hi / low? If a HD rider starts to, but pulls back cause your a rice burner! do you still wave? How do you folks in the UK do it if you throttle is on the right side and you ride on the wrong side of the road??? [/size] :stfu:

Boy that ones only about 15 minutes from my house   It is really large for a motorcycle dealer. They have everything in the showroom. Street bikes, Dirt Bikes, cruisers, Jet Skis, Jet Boats, All kinds of apparel.

Well...

I went to the Power Sports ride. Was real cold in the morning hours so only six bikes showed up, but the ride was fun. I felt kind-a strange because I was one my Bandit (only sporty bike) with my daughter and the other bikes were, Honda vtx1300, Yamaha cruiser model, two Goldwing trikes. We went from the dealership up thru the Ocala Nation Forest, stopped at the Black Water Rest and had lunch and then rode all the way back to the dealer and by then it was open and we walked around looking at all the bikes and gear. There is a deal where if you were part of the ride you get 10% off everything in there. Don't know if that applies to bikes! LOL
My daughter and I both got free Seminole Power Sports t-shirts from the ride leader when he saw us walking around looking at everything. So all in all it was a fun ride. Too bad it wasn't warmer so more bikes would have showed up. I guess morning temps in the 30's separates the men from the boys when it comes to riding or not.

On the way back we passed two groups of guys on sport bikes going the opposite direction, rather than the cruisers I was with. I really wanted to turn around and go with them because they looked like they aere going to have even more fun then we had!
