Haven't been able to get a ride in for weeks. Geeze, stop already. Can't remember it :storm: this much in the mid-south.
-
Hello, Tango, and well, dunno. But, tomorrow is shaping up to be a good day. According to Accuweather, that is, its supposed to be sunny and "pleasant".
I'll be riding to Cool Springs tomorrow, and Green Hills Tuesday. And we'll have to see about the rest. Rain back in the forecast after those two days.

I think I got one commute in last week, but that's been about it for the past couple weeks. Thinking of taking a chance on it this morning, tho....

I don't mind the rain........ during the work week - This rain every weekend crap needs to stop... :rant2:
-
I don't mind the rain, it's the lightening that worries me. :storm: And, the cagers who can't drive when the sun is shining, much less bad weather. :yikes:

For me, it's the rain...gear. I hate the 20 minutes it takes to get mostly watertight only to turn around and have to pull it all back off at work. There's no way to do it gracefully, and it takes a long time, and if it's warm, it's like a swamp inside the raingear or Aerostitch. Plus I have to wear shoes that can get wet and then put on dress shoes at the office. I envy the guys who work in a warehouse and can wear athletic shoes and jeans to work and can ride every day of the year without worrying about what they look like all day. Of course, I'd want THAT job and MY pay. :banghead:

Hopefully it will stop after Memphis in May.

Fortunately I can wear Blue Jeans at work, all summer. But, I don't like to get wet on the way in. Going home, I don't worry about. hehe. I have a Scorpion XDR jacket (Commander) with an easy to zip in liner, and riding paints that aren't that hard to get on and off. FirstGear, I think, is who made them. They're not "fashionable" but they work well.

Ok.....STOP. I'm smelling government conspiracy.
-
Oh Sure, now it stops after "Government conspiracy" is mentioned. Got 12 days off too. Ozarks are calling.
-
Better get going.... 3 day weekend ahead and they're forecasting - yup, you got it - RAIN.... :banghead:
-
at leat you only have rain, not this f'n snow we are getting
-
5 inches of snow here and still snowing finally got laid off but haven't been able to find tire chains for the bandit yet
-
Really sucks. Had made up my mind to leave Mon. and visit relatives in Oklahoma by way of northern Arkansas. Did get in a couple of 200+ mile rides but west Tennessee isn't exactly senic or exciting. :headscratch:
-
Just got back from a week of 2,438 miles (Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, Dragon, Snake, and a chunk of the Natchez Trace), and the only rain we ran into was...you guessed it...when we re-entered West Tenn. More rain forecast for the next couple days.

Geeze......that woulda been a blast.
