Start your New Year out Right! By going on a polar bear ride! Sunday, January 1st, 2006 the Fault-line Riders will have their 3rd annual New years Day Ride. Everyone is welcome! We will meet at the JR. Foods on Stadium Blvd. next to the Tractor Supply Store, in Jonesboro, AR. at 1:30pm. Depending on the weather this will be about a 70 mile ride making a loop from Jonesboro to Grubbs, back across to Greenfield, over the Ridge and back to Jonesboro. Shorter Route if BAD weather (freezing and wet.)

If my buddies chicken out, and it's not too cold to make the initial ride to J'boro, I may be joining you!

Well we had our New Years Day Ride! 75 bikes all together! Good Crowd! I was the only Bandit, and it was 60 degress. It did look like it was going to rain the entire ride, but we didnt get a drop. But in the memphis riders defense, I probably would not have rode to memphis with it looking like it was going to rain as bad as it did. But on the other hand we had at least one rider from memphis that I know of, on a gsxr 750. Most of the 75 bikes were cruisers (harley or metric type) With One BMW and 6 or 7 sport or sport touring type bikes. I dont mind riding with cruisers, but when I fell the need for speed I just Run off and leave them and then pull over and rest a while, till they catch up. Any way maybe all of us Bandit Riders in the area can get together some time in the spring when the weather is a little better. If any one has some known dates lets Post them and keep every one informed.

Wood,
I,m not far from you (Dyersburg). Did our own NYD ride here, just me and another beemer rider. Much nicer than a large crowd. We'll have to organize a Bandit ride sometime.

Good to hear from yall! Sounds like Memphis would be a good meeting spot for all of us Bandit Riders to meet for a Ride this spring. Would someone that knows the Memphis area put out a few ideas. And as far as the New Years Day Ride, I will agree that its more fun to ride with smaller groups. It was a mess trying to get 75 motorcycles in and out of traffic. Now the open rode was not to bad, but no matter how hard you try you cant please everyone. I had some people tell me we were going to fast and some people tell me that we were going to slow, and everyone wanted to stop at different spot for a break. Next year I think we will try to break up into smaller groups with a designated start and finish point. And maybe that would keep more people happy.

Yeah, that's why I drapped out on ya. I did meet a few buddies and did the Polar Bear Ride down to the MS river to see the Ski Freeze. Several hundred bikes watching a couple dozen skiers...we do some dopey stuff around here!

Rick...Mark...sounds like we need to put a little thought into this!
