Title: US 11 in Mississippi

I am probably going to be riding a bike up from New Orleans to Knoxville and was thinking about riding a good part of the way up through MS on US 11 rather than the Interstate.  Wanted to avoid an all-superslab trip.  Has anyone ridden much on US 11?  Is it a good road?
