Hi,
I've recently bought a '97 Bandit 400 and like this Bandit (http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/319817/), has the Bandit script on the tank. Does anyone know what the graphic/decal on the tail of this bike is?
Also, is there anywhere that lists part numbers etc for a '97?
Cheers,
Scott

Hey Scott. :welcome:
Until you posted that link, I don't think I'd ever seen the "Bandit" on the tank like that. It looks cool! But, I have no idea what goes on the tail of the later B4s like that. When I saw the subject of your thread, I was going to suggest you got to Bike Pics and look around but you've obviously already done that. Sorry man. Good luck!

I think most of the 2nd gen Bandits out here in Japan are like that. That's what I've noticed anyway.
-
I did originally think a previous owner had taken them off the tail and stuck them on the tank, but after seeing that photo it confirmed that some did come like that.
I'll have to keep trying to find out what the tail graphic is.

I just zoomed in on that photo. There is a a big silver "V2" with a tagline. I can't really make out the small tagline.
-
The tag line ends in " Sports Spirit" or so it appears. It almost looks like "American Sports Spirit" but its a Japanese bike, so I'm not sure what's up.
According to one site I recently found the V2 is actually "VZ" As there is a V and a VZ version of the '97 Bandit 400.
Sorry to modify again, but the link didn't get added.
Here's the page I was talking about: http://www.suzukicycles.org/Bandit-series/GSF400-Bandit.shtml

That's a big help. Just did a quick Google search and it could be "400VZ Succeeding Sports Spirit". Whatever that means

There problem solved. I thought it said "accelerating sports spirit" but I was like that can't be it... was pretty close though.

I wish we had gotten the 2G B4. Fantastic looking bike...

I'm not sure about the 2nd gen Bandit. There's some kinda attitude or aggression that's lacking in comparison to the original.
