It's been years since I've been on here. pulled my fram out of my attic. seriously!!!
Background: like 10 years ago put a 97 gsxr srad carb'd motor in my b4. Had to upgrade the front end and took it apart because the swing arm would hold up to the HP of that motor(107 at the wheel). the adjuster plate kept getting sucked into the swing arm. Yeah I almost crapped my pants when that happened. lol
back in like 96-97???

Tore it down because I couldn't get the carbs tuned right. sold off everything thinking I could find a srad FI motor easy at a great price. fast forwad 5 years... and I still over paid for it. :annoy:
Today: I'll need to find a front end for it but i have the motor installed.
Next: Install the throttle bodies and all the electronics.
Looking for a 95 gsxr 750 front and 90-92 gsxr 1100
Frame has been in the attic for about 5 years I think.

Tell us what mods you had to do to get the engine hung in the B4 frame, and what about chain alignment issues (if any)... Looking at this with interest as I've recently bought a B4 and want to do something different to it. Please give us more info - TA!
-
If I remember correctly, the left upper is in the perfect location for chain alignment. the rest need to be redone. redo the frame where the rframe mounts to the cylinder. It was alot of work for the welder.
-
What did you use for the front sprocket chain alignment?
-
So you removed part of the frame to fit the engine?
-
Got the throttlebodies in and started to lay out the wiring.
yep!!!... different support hangers for the head had to be done.
In all honesty if your going to do this use a newer motor 04 05 600 probably has the same HP as the 99 750. and waaaaay easier to find lol.

You crazy my friend! :yikes:
