Title: 400 Bandit sprockets

Jay, if your out there what gearing are you running on your track bike?

The B4 is 525 as standard, if ya want to run 520 then B250 sprocket will fit and Vortex do a 520 rear in alloy.

The GSF/GSXR250 are 520 and need spacing out to 525, a better sprocket maybe the DR350 SR-SW 94, DR200 S-W 1986, DR-Z400 E 00-05 or poss an RM 250 1990 if you can get a 14 tooth as the RM is 12 as standard. These spockets are 520 but have a lip on them, i had one on mine but cannot remember if i had to have some machined off to make it 525 or if it was a straight fit,sorry. :motorsmile:

Post by: Chris H on April 02, 2009, 04:15:06 PM: Standard is 14/47 and i run this, Jay has raced a GSXR so maybe the 15/46 is a better ratio, 16 should fit but you may find the gear is too high as the B4 is quite toppy with some holes in the mid range, you may make this worse.

no I want to go biger front and rear because I need some space to the B12 swingarm

the chain is too close to the swingarms buffer so it will get rubbered away
, that´s why I want to go bigger

the bike will get a scottoiler but I don´t want to change the buffer every several months

I've just never seen a buffer ever actually wear out. They are made to have the chain run on it. If the chain is lubricated properly it shouldn't be an issue. I might be completely wrong on this. Anyway good luck with it all.
