A friend of mine just picked this up as her first bike. The cbr125 is cute, but I'll stick with the B4. I'm not sure what sales are like else where, but they're sold out in ontario. I think it's the perfect bike for beginners. It even comes with gear...

It's hard to tell in the photo but the B4 is huge compaired to the cbr125. The seat height is similar. But the cbr125 is only 270 lbs and super skinny.

It's a virgin... only 79 kms. No odo, but the gas gauge is nice.

125 motor is liquid cooled. Redlines at 11,000. Only has 2 valves. And people are claiming to have had it up to 140km/h. We'll see.

Damn 6am is early.

Neat. I haven't seen any of those here yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if it could do 140km/h. I've had an FXR150 up to about 140 or 150, it seemed to manage it at least as easily as my old yamaha fzx250 (inline 4, naked).

when i was 17 my moped used to do 140km/h
honda nsr with malossi 110cc  :stickpoke:

i would guess such a small motor would ride just like a big moped like a nsr, which means it has big fun potential  :motorsmile:

I had a friend at work crazy excited about to drive to Canada this weekend to pick one of those up, then we found out it was a four stroke 125  :duh: .  Awesome beginner bike though.

It might do a 140 kms and hour -- but it will take its sweet time to get there.

Jay, I figure that cbr125 will turn into another "honda" phenomenon like the CRF50. Where you can get pretty much everything aftermarket. It definately needs a pipe. It sounds electric.

If it was two stroke and it had wider rims with sticky tires it would be a nice track toy. But it's not. I'm sure someone will try stuffing a two stroke motor in that frame eventually.

Oh it can be modfied already. People over here talk about 150cc kits new exhausts and bigger carbs on these little learner bikes. Of course the two strokes still pee all over it but its a bit of fun trying to make it faster.
