Hi.
I can't get replacing oil+ oil filter right.
Drained all oil after a ride, replaced filter, added roughly 2.8L, let her idle for couple of min, turned it off. Oil didn't even reach L. So i added some more to F, all fine.
Rode again today and measured just to be sure, but now the oil goes all the way up above F, the glass is 100% full.
I checked the oil-barrel I used and I used about 3 liters.
I did some reading on too much oil and how it can cause problems - but is 200ml too much? and how does the b400 handle it? Should I drain it? It ran fine when I rode it.
Thanks

No but it puts alot of pressure on the seals. Eventually that oil is going to be pushed out somewhere, usually through the crankcase breather tube and into the airbox. You'll probably burn some off as well, increasing coking on the pistons.

my 250v always takes just over 3 liters when doing an oil and filter.
2.8 seems to be just an oil change.
how long do you let it drain after putting in the fisrt 2.8 liters?
put in the 2.8 l, run the bike for a few minutes and let it drain back for an hour.
these things hold heaps of oil in the head which can throw you out if you only let it drain back for a few minutes.

Either way an extra 200ml while kind of alot, is not going to permanantly kill the bike. In fact you can prentend its a 2-stoke!
