Title: After market clip-ons
Post by: interfuse on May 15, 2006, 10:41:24 PM
I'm looking at picking up a set of clip-ons. Just wondering who has them on their bike? What brand did you buy? How do you like them?

Right now I'm leaning towards the Vortex set. They're easy to come by on ebay and won't cost me my first born. They don't look very adjustable but I can't see myself wanting to angle them down any futher.

Vortex offers a 41mm clip-on $140

These are a lot more adjustable but cost a small mint
Two Brothers offers their 7075-t6 aluminum V.3 Clip-on $270

Telefix Profi are very adjustable but it doesn't look like they're still available for 41mm tubes.

I had Woodcraft clipons which are very much like the Vortex.  They were fine.  In fact, I'd love to go back to clipons.  Those adjustable ones do look cool.  Being able to change the elevation might be very cool.

I also just found these:

Convertibars -- Height adjustable clip-ons. But at $350 I'd have to knock off a liquor store...

I got these for my bike from "StuntMe" on Ebay and they are fine, the price is right and he shipped quickly.  Highly recommended A++++ (sorry, got carried away).  They are billet clip ons wil aluminum 7/8" bars.
