Title: Aftermarket Carbs for 250?

Anyone ever tried to fit a set of XJR or even Keihin/FCR flatside carbs to a 250?   Is it possible given our vertical location of the stock carbs?  I have a lot of options here in Japan to look for junked or auction parts, I just don't know what to look for....
