It was cold as hell, but I totally needed the therapy. Bring on 2008.
-
I did but there wasn't snow like that here. Greasy salted roads though.
-
I took the bike out for a run yesterday, it was good. cool though 55 deg F.
-
Too cold here today. Yesterday was nice but too much going on. Yeah, I'd about kill for that "cool" 55!
-
I went for a short ride with a few friends. 23°C (74°F) and a bit overcast but it has fined up for the evening.
Bike ticked over 80,000km on the ride. I'll do the valve clearances tomorrow and then get some more riding in, work doesn't start again till the 14th

It was a whopping 1 degree C here today. I think that's like 35F. My thumbs still feel numb 11 hours later. Luckily I went out when I did. We just got more snow. I saw one other trooper on the roads. But he had a goldwing so that almost doesn't really count.

It is better that we wait summer here in Finland (yesterday +5c) and in canada.

Nice! You lucky bastard! My bikes been sleeping since October :( I've actually been in Toronto all week, and I've been telling myself how lucky you guys are (compared to Montreal) cause you have no snow here!
-
December 31 and and unseasonably sweet 62F. I passed a flock of wild turkeys down in Mississippi. Crossed 39K on el Bandido.
-
Goose are you still in T.O.? If so, hit me up and we'll go for a pint and talk bandits.

It's mid-40s here today so I took the Kawi to stretch her legs. Can't beat riding on New Years Day in PA! Did about 100 miles or so. If I had remembered long johns, it wouldn't have been bad at all. My knees got really cold but that's about it. The real problem was WIND! Gusts over 30mph. Damn near got blown off a couple times. It WAS really good to get back on two wheels, though.
-
You're ballsier than me Rob! My bike's been asleep since late November, I keep thinking about pulling it out of mothballs but I don't.
I went out rode the bicycle for an hour and change today. The hills around the house coupled with the wind made it a bit more than I had wanted to do on an "easy" day. At least it was warmer out.

Your weather sounds just like ours today (New Year's). Only did about 45 miles, downtown to Bigfoot Lodge with a couple other bikers. I guess this is end the of my season...on Thursday I get my feet chopped up so will be out of riding for a couple months. Hmmm...no riding in January and February....could I have *planned* that?!
-
Yep! may as well just put em away intil spring! I know! Sorry

Rob, way to ring in the new year! It's so refreshing to ride again after a bit of a break. I'm not sure what your weather is going to be like but it says it's going to be 14C (57F) here next weekend. I can't wait!

Yeah, I didn't winterize so I wanted to make sure I blew that old gas out and loosened her up. There's a lot of crap on the roads so I kept it pretty sedate but it felt really good. This weekend will be bikeless regardless of the weather. An annual hunting trip... Randy, I was out on the MTB on Sunday. It was a little messy but felt good. D, you suck! LOL! :stickpoke:

'Been riding on and off the last few days. It's been good and bad around here, so I sneak out in-between. Of course, I'm (apparently) better prepared for it than most of you on my latitude. :stickpoke:
